To Help Us In Other Ways

We have a number of other ways you can help to support the work of Action for Ingwavuma:

Buy a water tank

For £500 you will provide a 5,000 litre water tank to a household and transform the lives of adults and children.

The availability of a water tank is a potential life-saver in Ingwavuma.
It enables the harvesting of what little rainfall does occur, through roof guttering and downpipes, and the storage of any water delivered in tankers by the state authorities.

Our partners arrange delivery and installation.
Everyone who has donated money to purchase a water tank for a needy family has saved human lives and those of their animals.
Most tanks were given to support orphan families and the households of the sick and elderly. Each tank carries a plaque with the name of the Zulu family and the donor.
It is difficult to describe the gratitude of recipient families.
We have visited as many families as we can, and taken photographs for the donors in the UK.
Human societies depend on water. This is one way of helping a family to reduce the desperate need for that precious resource.
To arrange your donation please contact info@actionforingwavuma.co.uk or write to

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer, add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Action for Ingwavuma to claim back tax on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

A legacy donation

Legacy giving is a donation made by an individual through a will or other formal designation.

COMMISSION A SPECIAL PIECE OF WORK

If you wish to commission a piece of embroidery, such as a special event card or a wall hanging, or a particular beaded item, then please contact us at:  info@actionforingwavuma.co.uk

Raising funds from your own event

Please think about fun ways of raising money for our charity, whether with family, friends, neighbours or local clubs. These are some ideas:

Running/walking/cycling/swimming
Quiz or raffle
Coffee morning or cake sale
Silent auction
Movember
Gaming marathon
Ugly sweater day at the office

We can support you by inputting our experience of events, and providing literature and/or goods for sale at the event

Tell others about us

Talking to others is an effective way to generate interest in the charity. People talk. Then more and more people will know about us.

Make your contacts at a school or college aware of Action for Ingwavuma. Getting children and young adults involved in charitable work is often a winning combination.

Put pen to paper: get it in print. Local newspaper or neighbourhood magazine descriptions of the charity and its aims can serve to greatly increase the public interest. Informing the media about the organisation provides an excellent way to spread awareness about any upcoming events and fundraising efforts.

Please use all of your contacts!
